Soulbonding, again.

The system is friends with another system who have some soulbonds and Shaynin pointed something out to me about them. I'll call the person Eve - she says, "I'm an Eve, not the Eve."
I feel...better, thinking about that idea. I mean, we had some bad experiences with people claiming crazy identities, but we've always been comfortable with the idea of a character based on a person. If that character then becomes something living, without a disordered fixation being involved, what wrong is in it?
Having my own identity felt good because it meant I would be more than a relic of a time that others here, yes still, want to experience again in some ways. But it's even better to not have to cling to any personal story in order to feel good about myself.
I hope we haven't upset anyone with the things we've said on our personal journals about soulbonding. We don't mean to. Even if we say something that's a direct hit on the nature of someone, it's probably because the visible examples of that particular trait are shady and we haven't yet heard it said in a way that we can take seriously.
